Almost Heaven: Cooper''s Rock in WV: We rode the bikes yesterday to Cooper's Rock. Almost Heaven WV is so right! What a view! You felt like you could touch the clouds. ...
For about ten years my garden in Oregon was open to visitors, photographed by magazine photographers and written about in books and the press. I loved that garden experience and although I have now been digging up a much smaller plot, I decided to share what I have learned in a blog. I also give lectures and have had a few television and radio interviews.
Enough horn tooting.
This blog may turn out to be a major undertaking and I will not be able to offer you good navigational ability at first. If things work out, there will be stories about handling typical problems in the garden - plus illustrated examples of making good plant combinations while taking into consideration color, cultural needs like sun soil and water etc.
I also wrote a column on Gardening for three years (The Register Guard) and another column for a now defunct monthly paper.
I compiled a when-to-do-what gardening calendar a few years ago and it was published.
Now, I am putting together a lavishly illustrated book on gardening. Don't be looking for it yet, however.
